is leaving
FTDs
on the table.

We went through your registration flow on desktop and mobile. You have zero exit intent, zero nudge campaigns, and zero FTD recovery running anywhere in the funnel. Here is what we found and what we would do about it.

Registration Flow Audit

What We Found
Going Through Your Flow

Your form is minimal by design, which is a genuine strength. But the behavioural layer around it is completely absent. Here is what happens at each stage.

Pre-Registration
Homepage to Register button. Return visitors, pre-exit patterns, hesitation before initiating the flow.
No exit intent. No return visitor recognition.
Mid-Registration
Form open. Username, password, email toggle, T&Cs, Create Account. The highest drop-off window.
No nudges. No hesitation detection. Email is hidden.
FTD Recovery
Post-registration, pre-deposit. Your most intent-rich unconverted segment and your most wasted one.
Zero recovery campaigns. $500k leaderboard untouched.
Zero exit intent anywhere
We closed the tab on desktop and back-swiped on mobile repeatedly at every funnel stage. Nothing fired. Pre-registration, mid-form, post-homepage. Total silence. Every exit is currently uncontested.
Critical gap
Email is effectively invisible
Email sits behind an optional expand toggle. Most users never open it. This means no retargeting, no abandoned registration recovery, and no FTD recovery email sequences. For the majority of your registrants.
Revenue impact
Return visitors treated as strangers
We visited three times from the same device without registering. Identical homepage each time. No recognition, no urgency. Return visitors convert at 2.8x the rate of first-timers when given recognition. That multiplier is sitting unused.
Critical gap
$500k leaderboard doing zero conversion work
You have one of the most aggressive prize structures in the market. $500k monthly, $25k daily. It appears in the announcement bar and nowhere else. It is completely absent from the registration flow, the mid-form experience, and FTD recovery. It should be your loudest signal.

The Five Interventions

What We Would
Run on Day One

Each intervention targets a specific behavioural signal at a specific point in your funnel. These are not generic pop-ups. Every message is timed to the exact moment the data says to fire it.

01
Exit Intent · Desktop · Pre + Mid Reg
Desktop Exit Intent: Before the Decision Is Made
+
The Signal
Cursor velocity toward the browser close button increases and direction changes. We detect this 8-12 seconds before the actual exit attempt, before the decision has solidified into action.
Why It Fires on the Second Pattern
The first cursor movement toward close could be accidental. The second is intent. Firing on the second eliminates false positives and keeps the message feeling timely rather than intrusive.
The Crypto Advantage
No regulatory restriction on bonus messaging. You can lead directly with the $500k leaderboard, instant crypto withdrawals, and zero KYC. Messaging regulated operators simply cannot legally use.
Proposed copy: homepage exit intent
"Your $500k leaderboard seat is still open.
453 players are already in. Takes 30 seconds.
No KYC. Instant crypto withdrawals. Just click Register."
[ Stay and claim it ]   [ Dismiss ] · Fires as an overlay at second cursor pre-exit pattern. Auto-dismisses in 12 seconds.

02
Exit Intent · Mobile · Pre + Mid Reg
Mobile Exit Intent: The Back-Swipe Pattern
+
The Signal
On mobile there is no cursor. The exit signal is a back-swipe gesture pattern, scroll reversal to the top of the page, or rapid tab-switch. Each has a distinct behavioural fingerprint and a distinct intent level.
Why This Matters for Duel Specifically
Your audience, crypto users, CS players, gamers, is majority mobile. The back-swipe pattern on mobile is your single highest-volume unconverted signal and you are currently doing nothing with it.
Steam Traffic Angle
Duel offers Steam SSO. A mobile visitor who arrived via a CS or gaming community link gets different messaging from an organic visitor. Same signal, different traffic source, different intervention copy.
Proposed copy: mobile mid-registration exit
"30 seconds from a $25k daily leaderboard.
Username and password. That is it.
Log in with Steam if that is easier."
[ Back to form ]   [ Not now ] · Full-screen mobile overlay on back-swipe pattern during active registration.

03
Cursor Hesitation · Mid-Registration
Create Account Hesitation: The Trust Question
+
The Signal
Cursor reaches the Create Account button, hesitates for 2+ seconds, then withdraws without clicking. Or hovers over the T&Cs link without clicking it. Both are the same underlying signal: an unanswered trust question.
What the User Is Thinking
Crypto casino registrations carry unique trust hesitations. Is this provably fair? What happens to my funds? Will my wallet be exposed? These are specific to your category and your audience. Generic reassurance does not address them.
The Intervention
A small tooltip fires at the button on the second hesitation. Not a pop-up. A contextual message that directly addresses the trust question using Duel's brand voice , direct, irreverent, and specific to crypto users.
Proposed copy: Create Account hesitation tooltip
"No KYC. No bullshit. Provably fair.
We are literally the antidote to the scam sites.
That is the whole point of Duel."
Appears as a small contextual tooltip adjacent to the button. Fires on second hesitation. Dismisses on click or after 8 seconds.

Return Visitor Recognition · Pre-Registration
Third Visit, Still Not Registered
+
The Signal
A visitor lands on Duel for the third time from the same device without having registered. We track previous visit duration, pages viewed, games browsed, and originating traffic source across all sessions.
The 2.8x Multiplier
Return visitors who receive recognition convert at 2.8 times the rate of those treated as strangers. Right now every return visitor to Duel sees an identical homepage. That multiplier is sitting completely unused.
Contextual Personalisation
A visitor from a CS gaming community link gets different copy from one arriving from a crypto Twitter thread. Same signal, different traffic context, different message. All automated, no manual segmentation.
Proposed copy: third visit, crypto traffic source
"You have been here before.
Your welcome bonus is still live.
448 players online right now.
The leaderboard does not wait."
Appears as a subtle persistent banner on third detected visit. Not a modal. Dismissible. Disappears after registration.

FTD Recovery · Post-Registration
Registered. Wallet Empty. Leaderboard Running.
+
The Signal
Account created, no first deposit in 24 hours. This is your highest-intent unconverted segment. They believed enough to register. Something stopped them at the deposit step and they have not been followed up on.
The Crypto Opportunity
Unlike regulated operators, Duel can use real-time leaderboard data, live win notifications, and direct bonus messaging with no restriction. Your $25k daily and $500k monthly prize pool is your most powerful FTD trigger and it is doing nothing at this stage.
Real-Time Signal Layering
Pulls live leaderboard countdown and recent win data to create genuine FOMO rather than a static bonus offer. The message changes based on how close the daily leaderboard cutoff is. Under 6 hours remaining triggers maximum urgency variant.
Proposed copy: FTD recovery, on-site notification on return visit
"Someone just won $4,200 on Beef.
Your account has $0. That is a problem.

$25,000 daily leaderboard closes in 4h 22m.
Minimum deposit: $10. That is enough to enter."
[ Connect wallet ]   [ Maybe later ] · Fires as an in-app notification when registered non-depositor returns to site. Pulls live leaderboard data via API.

The Revenue Case

What This Looks
Like In Numbers

Conservative estimates based on aggregate data from 190+ operators. Crypto operators tend to outperform because the intervention toolkit available is significantly wider.

If Duel runs a 90-day pilot across these five interventions
13.1%
Average FTD uplift across the operator network in the first 90 days. With a wider crypto intervention toolkit, Duel should track above this number.
2.8x
Higher conversion on return visitors who receive recognition versus those treated as first-time visitors. Your warmest segment, currently your most wasted one.
11x
Higher exit recovery rate with behavioural exit intent versus generic pop-ups. You currently have zero, meaning every exit is uncontested versus an 11% recovery rate.
